“Charlie” didn’t get the easiest start in life, as he had to change home at the age of three and move to Sweden to join his new owner. Once there, though, he quickly settled in and showed his prowess in the showrings by racking up major wins in Sweden and Norway. On his way to his International Championship, which he completed in 1991 with seven CACIBs to his name, he collected enough points to place 2nd in the Afghan Male of the Year competition in Sweden in 1989 following his 5th place finish in 1988. In 1994, Charlie showed he was still going strong at 10 years of age by going Best In Show as well as BIS-Veteran at the Swedish Sighthound Club’s specialty show.

Charlie sired a litter out of El Khyrias Ideé, resulting in S & N Ch. Beluch Black Coffee and CC-winner Beluch Big Surprise.

Charlie was owned by Gunvor Mjärling in Sweden.
