The kennel was officially launched when Grandezza was bred to SF Ch. Dynasty’s Thunder’n Lightenin in 1976 which resulted in the G litter. Grandezza was herself the result of an outcross but a combination of inbred (American dam’s side) and heavily linebred (UK sire’s side) afghans. She herself turned out to be a terrific producer, providing Choice Afghans its second litter in 1978 which resulted in the kennel’s most famous, record-breaking dog, Int & Nord Ch.
